  由CAPCOM制作发行的知名动作游戏《Devil May Cry 3》的外传《Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition》将全面移植到PC平台。

　《Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition》可说是《Devil May Cry 3》的“外传”，本作中玩家可操控但丁的双胞胎哥哥维吉尔，《Devil May Cry 3》中讲述幼年但丁的事务所尚未正式营运之前便陷入一连串被恶魔追杀的事件中，就这一连串事件的背后，却是足以与他匹敌的双胞胎兄长维吉尔，但却没有交代这两个双胞胎兄弟关系决裂的内幕，《Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition》将以维吉尔的角度来详细交代这段剧情以示弥补前作留下的伏笔。

　《Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition》只作为类似“外传”形式出现，但游戏系统将延续《Devil May Cry 3》，在原来的基础上追加了VERY HARD难度，而满足一定条件则能使用维吉尔，其武器以及特殊技能将没有但丁那样丰富，但同样可以变身为魔人，可使用的武器为 阎魔刀、Force edge、Beowulf、幻影剑4种，相对与前作来说，本作只以交代剧情为主。
　
　作为一款补完性质的游戏，《Devil May Cry 3》的原作内容完全得以保留，同时增加了大量的新模式。最重要以及最令人兴奋的新内容就是可以操作但丁的兄弟维吉尔。维吉尔的操作与但丁是完全不同的，CAPCOM将其称为“黑暗屠夫”，包括有一些近距离战斗技能（大刀、双剑、徒手等）以及特殊远程剑技。不过要想使用维吉尔可没有那么容易，玩家需要有原作的通关记录，或者在特别版的任何一种难度模式下通关，这些都是十分困难的。
　
　最后值得一提本作加入了“血腥宫殿”模式，该模式曾经在《Devil May Cry 2》中出现过，让但丁面向无穷的敌人不断杀戮。本作的这一模式更加疯狂。每10层都有一个随机的BOSS，总共有9999层等待玩家挑战！
